• The Best Horror and Suspense Films

With Halloween fast approaching us and AMC playing Horror movies all week long I thought we could make our own list. Yes we did this last year but we now have 2000 more lurkers who have joined and may have an opinion about horror movies.
For me in no particular order:
Duel
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original)
Friday the 13th the first one less gore and more suspense
Halloween the first one super scary
Fantasm
The Shining
Nightmare on Elm Street original idea your nightmares can kill you
The Ring
I can't remember the title. It came out about 2 years ago. It had Ray Liota, John Cussak and several others stranded at a hotel. That had one of the best surprise endings I had seen in a very long time.

Alien. The Shining rocks, too.

I may be the only one, but I liked "Pitch Black". The original "Frankenstein" with Boris Karloff is an old favorite. I also dug the new "Chainsaw".

"The Evil Dead"
"The Evil Dead 2"

The first two were great. The third one was still good but more comical so I really don't rate it as horror or suspense.

And that "Identity" movie was great. Definitely a cool ending.
We must!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 & 2. The remake is cool, too.
Identity.
28 Days Later.
Resident Evil.
The Others.
Stigmata.
Wendigo.
Night of the Living Dead, White Zombie, and any other really old black and white horror movie.

I like Evil Dead 2, the first was good, but a little different. I liked the cocky Ash over the wimpy Ash. The nice thing is you can watch 2 without seeing the first one as they totally rewrite the storyline in a 10-5 minute flashback.
