I was cleaning out my video collection this weekend and I came across Van Halen's set at the US festival from 82. The quality is fair, but even with that, what an awesome show. Anyone know if the rest of "metal" day from the US festival is available anywhere?

Re: VH @ the 1982 US festival
I was there that day. But it was the '83 Festival that had the metal day. The day was Sunday, May 29th, 1983.
The lineup was:
Van Halen
Scorpions
Triumph
Judas Priest
Ozzy Osbourne
Motley Crue
Quiet Riot
And the tickets were only $20.00 a piece if you can imagine that.

Yeah, it was 83. I remember watching it on one of the major movie channels live (cinemax? HBO? or was it MTV?) I watched all day in anticipation of VH closing the show. The Sorpions kicked ass too. I would love to score a copy of all these bands."My G-Major can blow me!" - Bill

And Gas was $1.02 a gallon, a 10 oz Coke in a can was $0.50, minimum wage was $3.50, a pack of cigs was $1.25, and movie tickets were $4.

Re: VH @ the 1982 US festival
I read a few months back that there's supposed to be an official US Festival DVD set coming out soon. I can't find the source anymore My local radio station broadcast the metal day live. That was the first time I heard Motley Crue.
