Y'all know the craziness that surrounds me over here in my corner of West Texas, and here is my latest surprise...
I send my daughter off to school with two pieces of candy in her lunch, from her adventures last night. She worked for that candy, she certainly deserves to enjoy it.
Comes home and tells me today that she wasn't allowed to eat it at lunch. At lunch. When the kids eat. A meal.
Apparently its okay to send cookies or baked goods in your kid's lunches but NOT candy, unless you send enough for every damn kid in the cafeteria.
My wife is a Teacher in Texas.... She said they have this stupid rule where a kid can eat a Chocolate bar but can't eat Sweet-tarts..... This is because of the sugar content?.? I know, I know.... It has something to do with the kids being fatter today than ever before at an earlier age. Aside from a couple of excellent school districts and the teachers they employ it isn't communist.... it's socialist.... Good luck with your School District and their teachers unions..... Being an old poop I have seen what has happened to 3 generations of kids, that includes me. And all I can say is God, help us. I am going to my trailer to be by myself with my 32 skinflicks and just happy that I don't have to raise anymore kids. "What a world. What a world." [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] What's even worse, if it's that bad in West Texas you will have no place to hide. Just move to a "liberal thinking" area. Well this poop has a kid in the best school money could buy and he's an honor student , I live in a quarter million + home that's nearly paid for , I own all three of my nice cars , have an R-1 credit rating , have over 15K in music gear , over 5000 metal cds , I have over 100K in the bank , I'm responsbile , accountable and credible and I depend on nobody but myself , I'm a fully retired cleveland police officer for over 12 years , ..and been happily married for 18 years.
if you say that's poop ...then so be it ...and if that puts us on opposited sides of the fence ...then all the better.

Err... he's retired because he was disabled on the job, breaking his neck while subduing a perpetrator.As for 5,000 CDs, yeah you can only listen to 1 a a time,but the more good metal you can find, the better! Can't listen to the SAME CD all the time, without getting bored eventually. I do tend to play the schite out of a good new CD when I get it though!
Bill, you forgot to add "10 lbs of Purple Cush and 1 bad attitude".
No offense, but here in L.A. a quarter million dollars won't buy much of a house. But then we can't afford 15K worth of music gear either.
And txcharvel, Bill is like me. We have been listening to so much metal for so long, that no single band can be brutal/teechnical/fast enough. We have to listen to five or six CD's at once to get that sensory overload neccesary to stimulate our metal lobes.
