Re: XM Radio Anyone?

Dude, I listen to XM, I don't hear these things...

Wish I'd have known tho, I would have bought something in there. I need to just come in and get Sirius in the Jeep, try it out for a bit, see for myself how it compares. But you're an hour away, I'm half way to the lake!!!

I WILL come by, we should try to get together for the game against DRS next week, oops the Hawks!

I'll be working next Sunday so I won't be able to watch the Rams beat up on the Seahawks again...

What do you mean, you're half way to the lake? I'm at the Fenton store in Gravois Bluffs...right across 255, at 141 and Hwy 30.

I know bro, but I'm at minimum 45 minutes I think. I used to live down at 141 and Richardson for a long time. Grew up at Winter Park, and Lindbergh HS.

I'm right by SIUE in Edwardsville, IL.

We'll hook up...

Re: XM Radio Anyone?

Great thread I have thought about starting one. We purchased a new Suburban in June to haul the triplets around. XM comes with the LT pakage. I used to say who in their right mind would ever pay for radio its FREE. Well I now pay and have no regrets. When my wife or I have to drive the truck or the Jeep it kills us. The local channels are 60% commercials. I never really paid that close of attention to how many times regular radio runs commercials. Some of our favorite stations Boneyard, Deepcuts, 70s,80s,90s,Discovery,Classics(were they play the old radio shows of the 30s and 40s really cool), the misses likes channel 20 top 20 request made by the listeners, KISS xm, mix, Lucy. For you sports fans they also have regional sports channels. This weekend I was playing with the radio and picked up every ACC football game. They have Nascar for you race fans, ESPN radio. I plan on putting XM into my other vehicles. XM satelite radio rules, I'll never go back.

Re: XM Radio Anyone?

I would easily jump on XM but I am such a CD guy it is hard for me to even consider the radio much at all
I keep the bible in a pool of blood
So that none of its lies can affect me

Re: XM Radio Anyone?

Over the last few weeks I have been sampling each (Sirius & XM) online with their free trials. For me, Sirius seems to have the better selection. My concern with Sirius is that they are not in as good of a financial position and market share as XM. So if I get the Sirius equipment, I could be out of luck in a year or so. As far as equipment, I'm looking at one of the combo units that will allow me to take it in the car and to the office with me, and home. I might go look this weekend in person at some units at BestBuy.
Back to the programming, I will say that because Sirius has a dedicated Hair Metal channel and a few really good Classic Rock stations tips the scale for me.
