yes. borders will be closed for a while. moats are cool; anyone who says different hasn't had one.

pat, the money that the taxpayers spend on prisoners will be diverted to other, more pressing issues like keeping the population down.

Ok ..first lemme say I'm not a deeply religous person and I am in fact a republican ...

The principles this country was established on were by people who were deeply rooted in christian beleif. Our morals as well as laws were based upon the same things related to within reigion and god. This is why there is so much religion peppered through our government. There are still people that are very driven by the same threads and principles the country was founded on over 200 yrs ago... Hell just look at your money ...

With that also said take a look at whats going on in the middle east as well as at home. You have islamic fundamentalists claiming wars based on Jihad (holywar) and the idea that the USA should be run by islamic faith (Bin Laden mentioned this as a condition just last week) Then you have people here trying to push the bible out of everything governmental ... This is creating a movement of people deep in faith to make sure their moral views are perserved... This very true of the bible belt as Bush won that entire region... Even Bill Clinton told Kerry he would have to stand on some christian vlaue to win .. Kerry refused .... it hurt him at the polls ..

Over the last 2 years I've worked on the background of my family and learned that my family has been around here since this country was founded.It tends to bother me a bit when I see people come from other countries and expect the foundation of my country to change based on their wants and views. If I traveled to a foreign country I would be expected to adhere to their language,laws and values so why should mine be expected to change simply because someone wanted to come here for a better life but have more of their views in the process .. this has become the problem with America being a melting pot .....

Look around and see that people are pushing religion out of schools,courts etc. People come here as minorities with more rights than people who have been established here for hundreds of years. We are getting deeper and deeper involved as a world community and less as a country. The UN wants more and more say over what we do not only globally but as a country in general .. hell they want us to pay a tax to support less fortunate countries ..


All these things tend to scare people. While change can be a good thing it can also lead to a loss of self identity ..... this is what leads people to the polls and their convictions ..

Instead of watching debates and making a judgement based on which candiate lies better do the real legwork next time .. Look up the canidates actual record and get a better sense of worth for the man ... I did ..
