          Maybe I didn't pay much attention cause I never saw Stryper live, but I have a video of stryper I watched a few weeks ago, and I was shocked at how many of the solos Michael Sweet did.
          I had always thought metal singers with guitars did it for looks. I also thought it was funny how Michael Sweet jammed his package into the camera as often as he could. I could almost tell his religion in those spandex [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
          Not that I was looking, but it had the typical 80s crotch cam going on.

            Actually Kerry King did wear gay spandex..

            I have just about every christian metal band you can think of in my collection...my faves are Tourniquet , Deliverance and Believer..awesome stuff!!!

            I think Stryper was great ...but I'm listening to much harder music these days ...but I still appreciate the good classic stuff like Stryper , Dokken , Rough Cutt , Loudness , Ratt , Alcatraz, Helstar , Apocrypha , Watchtower , Slayer , Coroner , The Scorps...and yada

            Styper is great and that's coming from me ....The Satanic mothafucka!

            but in the late 80's I was a Savatage fanatic....Criss Oliva was "evil"..or at least he sounded that way. [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/notworthy.gif[/img]

                  Cool Albulm cover ...INTENSE was a HUGE christiam metal label ...all their stuff is pretty cool!!!

                        I remember Eddie Van Tongue Cancer sportin' a Blazer and a Mullet....he looked like a Miami Vice extra.

                        and Queenryche and Metallica used to be "Metal" bands.

                                Stryper was great. They've done some shows over the last couple years - I'd definitely go see them if they come around here.

                                I'm pretty much one of the least religious people you could ever meet but I don't mind their lyrics - for the most part their messages are pretty reasonable. There are Christian bands that are way more preachy.
                                I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.
