I love the winter, I love the snow, but unfortunately, St. Louis is on the equator after 1984 and we hardly get sh!t for snow, a couple of nasty inches a yr and that's it. Just enough to screw up traffic and the cars, then it melts. ince in a while we'll get a few inches and all is nice for a day or two, but not much since the 80s...

OMG, you guys are sick and wrong! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] you all need help!! [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] Maybe its over exposure for me. I mean there are areas here that just get walluped with snow. I think the record here was 300 inches in one winter. Keep in mind there are places here where by mid winter people cant see out of there living room windows because the snow is that high!! I am not bull$hiting you on this!!! There are real old houses north of here that have two house doors, one on the 1st floor and one on the 2nd floor for winter when the snow gets deep. this is for real, I swear it. There is a mental thing about the snow being SOOO deep that it blocks you from seeing out your windows....it makes you hate winter. These long winters suck a$$. They can also make people really "shack happy"...ever see the the Shining?? [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/eyes.gif[/img] sometimes people flip out like that here too. The winter just get to em. I just cant take the cold anymore. I freeeeeeeeze!! I got no insulatation anymore. It wasnt that bad when I was heavy, but now its flat out intolerable. You would be amazed at the amount of stupid we have in the Seattle area when it comes to snow. With all the hills we have, people will still drive as though the roads are bare. One good snow and the auto body shops will make enough $$$ to cover for the year.

You live in MI? So do I, and I f*cking love it. Winter f*cking rules, and the colder and more snowy it gets, the more kickass. Although it does get too damn hot and humid here in the summer.

I'm in Croghan, NY, about 30 miles south of Thousand Islands bridge to Canada. We regularly get 250" to 300" of snowfall every season. Thats more than any other area east of the rockies. This is the snowmobile capitol of the east coast. We have those houses here with 2nd floor doors and mailboxes way up high on telephone poles.

I've been in Phoenix, Arizona for the past 16 years. This is my first winter back. I have to drive to dialysis three times a week, 70 miles round trip. That's not an option. I HAVE to go if I like breathing and stuff.

And I LOVE it! I will have a snowmobile soon, and I'm a fair skiier, too.

This winter is gonna be such a rush!

I'll get some pics of the house. It's not spectacular, but it's cool. And the area here...I'm tellin ya, I live in a Norman Rockwell painting. Quite the change from Phoenix in every possible way!

God bless ya' Chuck. I hate the snow! I saw some today at work for about 20 minutes then it was gone without a trace. The other house I had we use to bring in a loader every year to move snow cause there was no more room to plow it anywhere. I must have had more than 15ft. snowbanks on both side of my driveway all the way up to the house! You would have loved it I'm sure...
