Actually, that map was put out by USA Today. Hannity just borrowed it from their web site.

The election is over. Move on. Make our country better instead of tearing it down with spiteful rhetoric. Make a difference and become part of the solution instead of part of the problem. That red map only shows the MAJORITY who voted for Bush.

Say you have 10 counties in a state. 1,000,000 people in the state. Each county has 100,000 people in it. When 50,001 people vote Bush, and 49,999 vote Kerry, it shows the county won. When 99,999 vote Kerry, and 1 votes Bush, it doesn't show a REALLY Blue county. In retrospect, it doesn't show what counties Bush dominated in. However, you get the idea.

I Found the PA map interesting since that is where I am from. Most of PA is red except for Pittsburgh and Philly. Then again most of the blue areas seem to be urban regions and Democrats usually get those votes.

Deneb - Here's one that USA Today did the day after the election. Red = Bush by 5% or more; Blue = Kerry by 5% or more; gray = either candidate by less than 5% (Bush won 161 of these & Kerry won 131):



There aren't a lot of close counties out there either way.
