Well, the way I look at it, if you're only there for a couple of days, you'll be exhausted by the end of the night.
Typical day at NAMM is up at 9ish, breakfast, hit the show, walk and talk for 6 hours, 6pm, everyone rolls to the Hilton for drinks/happy hour, then dinner somewhere, usually the Outback, sit around drink, eat, BS, etc etc and then it's 10pm or better. Ron's typically got all the local shows lined up, so where that takes you after dinner, who knows...
So, if you're not going to spend any amount of time in a room, crash and shower, cheap is good... But I like the free T's ( Internet connection ),mini bar, room service, blah blah blah, just in case, ya know?
A lot of us stayed at the Hyatt in 02, everyone sat around in the Atrium and drank, etc etc. Last year, me and Shaky went to Hollywood for one night, but everyone hung out at the Hilton and stayed a while at the Outback on another eve.
Alright, I'll have 3 options for you within the next 3 days...
I know Todd, was referring to the "after show party" Remember hanging with Gillis, Bettencourt, Metal Mike and many more of the likes during/after the Guitar Player mag party?
NM, How could you...........
The Capt'n was DEFINITELY there that night...
I'd like to stay at the Hilton, that'd be the key place to stay, IMO. But I think it's min $150 a night.
Oh... Sorry, how could I forget. You and I went off to see if we could get into the private party where George Lynch and Steve Vai were playing and I ended up getting stuck in the middle of a conversation with Eddie Ojeda and Ed Roman.

Honestly I prefer a nicer room and I am very used to a Show schedule I have to work about 6 year and attend about 10 and to me I can go cheap but I prefer a nicer living situation and closer so it is easy to run back to the room
I keep the bible in a pool of blood
So that none of its lies can affect me
I have a dealer friend who is getting me in (for sure)..if I get to make it...
I'll be attending at least 3 days.
I do need a place, and am willing to share a room to cut costs.
I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do this and the most reasonable, most efficient way is to do packages. I thinkw e're going to concentrate on the Hyatt and/or Hilton.
I'll go with those 2 and get prices out here shortly. I'll try and block 10 rooms, at least 5 with a "pencil" on the others.
Sheraton, right next door to the convention center is $199 a night, anyone want in on this? For those of you that haven't been there, it's an ideal location.
The other option would be the Hyatt about a mile away at about $50 less per night, but I can't find anything on it without a package with airfare. So let me know and for you guys in St. Louis who are going, let me know asap pls...
