I think in the case of a crime, it is considered murder, I don't know man, depends who you ask I suppose...

I was worried that he was going to get off. With the dismissal of two jurors I really thought he may get a miss trial. Most of the evidence was circumstantial. Even though everyone knows he did it, I felt as though he would get off because the evidence wasn't solid. I'm glad the jurors saw though it and found his sick ass guilty. As far as the death penalty I don't know why Ca. calls it that. It's a life sentence. If he was here in Va we would fry him. Save the tax payers a hell of a lot of money

Anybody happen to catch the short blurb about the Prosecutor-chick that lived not too far from there who resembled Laci, was pregnant, had a dog with the same name (Makenzie or whatever) AND had received death threats prior to Laci's disappearance?
How about the tests the Sheriff's Office conducted using the same boat Scott allegedly dumped Laci's body from? They proved that there was no way he coulda done it without capsizing the boat.

But, since there were mothers on the jury, all they saw and heard was the evidence that he was cheating on her, and that there was a dead unborn baby [img]/images/graemlins/eyes.gif[/img]

I didn't follow the trial minute by minute, but what I caught in the highlights was basically that they stopped looking for a killer when they found out he was having an affair.

It's the same as the O.J. trial - dead woman automatically means the husband did it, regardless of the lack of physical evidence; as long as we can make 8 women on a 12 person jury come up with a guilty man-pig verdict, and they can bludgeon the men on the jury with "he's guilty because we said so and there's a dead baby involved", the case is closed.
