NES-Mario 1.
SNES-Final Fantasy II and III. Awesome games. I only got to beat FFII, my friend took III back as I was half way through.

The annoying things about these older games that save is that they have batteries to do so, and they're dying out. you cannot replace the battery either, you simply have to buy a new game. You can still play the game, but you just can't save. I remember throwing the fcker across the room when I saw that my 20 hours of gameplay on Final Fantasy registered as a blank screen.

yes, they had lithium batteries thet were supposed to have a lifespan of about 5 years. Since most of those games came out in the mid to late eighties, most of them are pretty useless unless you leave them paused while you go to work, or sleep, or both.

Legand of Zelda is a must too, Vegas Dreams is awsome, RBI Baseball, Contra, Metroid. I love playing my 8 bit still

Tecmo Bowl was another wonderful NES game. Problem is when I found out about it, Super Tecmo Bowl III came out for Genesis... IMO STBIII was the better of the two games.

NES - Tecmo Bowl, Mario, Side Pockets, Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Strategy game based on ancient Chinese history - spawned several sequels which were not as good IMO, and several spinoffs like Nobunaga's Ambition and the like), and the Tengen version of Tetris, which is difficult to find any more because it's collectible. The Nintendo version was one-player only, but Tengen's was 2-player split-screen. The problem with the game itself was that the guy who was handling the rights to the game sold it to Nintendo first, then to Atari (owners of the Tengen brand). The Tengen version was waaaay more popular due to the 2-player format and better graphics, but Nintendo was the legal owner, so they forced Atari to stop making them and pulled them from the shelves.
Also had all the Castlevanias.

SNES - I know I had a bunch of them, just can't recall which ones were my favorites. Art Of Fighting, I guess. Mortla Kombat 1 was good until the other, better ones came out [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Genesis - Flashback. Best graphics in a cart.

N64 - Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Castlevania 64 was ok.

PS - Resident Evil, Castlevania:SOTN, Tomb Raider series.

PS2 - Vice City, Castlevania:LOI, Rygar (loved the arcade version), Devil May Cry 1&2 - the games that Castlevania SHOULDA been.

XBox - Halo, DOAX, Splinter Cell 1&2, Amped.

PC - Carmageddon series, Myst series.

NES: Megaman 2 and Commando. I must have finished them dozens of times. Mike Tyson's Punch Out also rocked.
