    Re: Artest OUT FOR SEASON

Pacers are screwed... he's out the whole season, S-Jax out for 30, and J. O'neal out for 25. Three injuries on top of that leaves 6 average players for them to get by with. Bad times for Pacers fans.

shouldn't bother Artest any. It gives him more time to work on his rap career.

To be quite honest Artest doesn't even have his own album coming out it is just an album on his label and it is R & B album.

Ron Artest needs his head checked though. I saw his first NBA game and followed him as I loved him on the Bulls but I was glad when he got traded. Completely nuts that guy is. When on the Bulls he would be whipping the ball in the locker room against walls just centimeters away fro other players heads. Naked Pushups he would just do in the middle of the lockerroom sometimes at halftime. This isn't even the tip of the iceberg but soon he won't be in the NBA he will flip out next year and he will be @ Mcdonalds

                Re: Artest OUT FOR SEASON

I say good ridance. The Pacers are going to have a hard time without him now that the east is a stronger division. The reason I say good ridance, he walked away from Ben Wallace instead of fighting him. He then jumps into the crowd and starts swinging. Totally uncalled for. I knew it was going to be a matter of time before something like this happened in the NBA. It is the only professional sport were the fans are within arms reach of the players. With all of the attitude handed out by both the fans and the players it was a powder keg waiting to blow. To me he should be banned for life. No matter what a fan says to you, as a professional athlete you have to be able to shrug it off and not take it personal. His actions were totally uncalled for. I hope whomever it was that he attacked sues him for everthing he has so he does end up at McDonalds.

                  Re: Artest OUT FOR SEASON

No excuse for the fans though No excuse for the Players involved espescially Stephen Jackson who had no right to go into the stands.

Artests reaction isn't bad say he was in a bar the only reason his reaction is bad is because he was representing the NBA and in taht case just needs to take it. F the fan who thought it was cool to throw a beer at someone though...

                    Re: Artest OUT FOR SEASON

Actually the tougher time I see is that they have all thre of their best players out O'Nela is theuir best player 25 games Artest is 2nd full season and Stephen jackson has 30. 82 game season.... that destroys a team and rightfully so although Oneal's bunch was awesome and I don't blame him when a fan comes out onto the court. He did sucker punch the guy but things were out of control and that guy had already engaged in fighting so he was fair game IMO. I been right next to Jermaine and he looks thin on TV but trust me the boy isn't thin...

                      Re: Artest OUT FOR SEASON

While I have read and seen on ESPN about the Pacers suspensions, what did Ben Wallace receive? My local paper said he received a suspension but it didn't say how long?

                            Re: Artest OUT FOR SEASON

I think Artest should be permanently banned for that sh!t he pulled. Let's face it, if any of us pulled something stupid like that while on the job, we'd be fired immediately. He's a constant powder keg waiting to blow up, and I don't think he should ever be on another NBA court. I suspect he won't be a Pacer very much longer.

The other suspensions are surprisingly short--at least for the guys who punched fans and/or went up into the stands. Of course, the players' union is going to appeal all of these suspensions, so it may be that Artest doesn't lose the entire season in the end. I'm not sure what leeway the union contract gives the league on the length of suspensions.
