Pro - Stern contacted the Players Union before hand and he said he is not going to waiver. I really think Jackson deserves as much if not more than Artest. O'Neal was justified in my eyes.. the guy was on the court attacking although O'Neal sucker punched him

Many years ago, Latrell Sprewell was banned for 1 year, that scandal wasn't that big, I dunno what NBA should to with Artest??? Penjada (I dunno how do ya call it) him?

Latrell got 69 games for choking PJ but he did not have the past Ron Artest has had and has been a good citizen since.

If the fans don't get charges pressed against them then the players shouldn't either imo.. everyone should get equal treatment. Usually the atheletes will get the rockstar treatment and get off easy, but in some cases they're used to be made an example out of, both of which are unfair. So either the fans AND the players should get charged, or neither.

am i the only one who thinks the piston fans were as low class as you can get? artest walked away from walace, lied down on the table to keep cool, and then gets hit with beers and other crap. jackson and artest then get sucker punched from behind and they're wrong. everyone is too blame, but the fans were fukkin' animals from what i saw.

no i totally agree... Artest was out of line but I blame the fans just as much.

There should be a league-wide Code of Conduct clause for all sports. If you break that code, you're not allowed to play in the league... EVER!

Anyone involved needs to be charged fans and players alike. Season ticket holders should also lose their tickets. The worst part is , what Wallace did to Artest is way worse than what a fan did to him. And the truth is Artest didn't have the balls to go after Wallace, where self defense would have reasonable. Instead he picks some white guy in the stands who's ass he knew he could kick. He's a f-ing coward.

No not at all... I am a big basketball fan and can link to you on other boards I have discussed this until blue in the face. I am with Lev though Artest has to be more responsible than the fans. The proper action is to let make sure the fan gets prosecuted afterall he did attack the wrong fan. Sad to say the classless fans (Shall I note William Ligue of White Sox fame) still do pay the bills of these players. While one stupid ass fan took the wrong action the overall clientel were punished by what would be an employee. That is just wrong from a business standpoint. That stupid ass fan should ahve been punished but now there is so much to sort out... Will they get who threw the chair? What about all the **** fans throwing drinks and popcorn and bottles at Jermaine as he was laeving the court....

Tommy sorta but they are still your clients... Ron Artest can beat the hell outta 99% of the crowd so it is somewhat cowardly although the fans have no excuse either
