Well, if you say so, but I'd rather turn the thing off and feel silly than learn the hard way that it could happen. They also say static electricity can do it, has that been debunked as well?
Yup, static electricity. And it happens more to younger people than old people. The reason is because most old people need to grab a hold of the side of the car when they get out....discharging themselves. Younger people just hop out and hold a charge until they start pumping gas.
Todays cell phones do get pretty hot. Thats because they have so much **** packed in them.....color screens, video game bullshit, MP3 players, Bluetooth, etc...whats next...a freakin toilet paper dispenser?!?! -Lou

Well, then how come every cell phone I've ever owned mentions in the owner's manual about switching your phone off in potentially explosive atmospheres such as gas stations, etc.??
