Re: would you spill the beans...

I've found that business that's not mine, is not a matter I should but into.

If she were a murderer, I'd turn her in. We have crime stoppers, and I'd get 2K$, then I'd spend that on a Jackson, send her the pic of my new Jackson I got for sending her murdering ass to jail.

On the other hand, she's fukking around. Last I checked, no laws against it. If she decides to stop (I doubt it) and no one knows, then the family is happy, and all is well.

I know my logic is really silly in this sense, but I've just found that it's not my business to interfere in someone's business. She's not breaking any laws, and if this is what makes the sleezebags happy, so be it.

I've not cheated on my girl to answer the above question. That would just be my luck though, I'd narc someone out, then I'd go do it myself, then get ratted out.

What if she got AIDS fukking around, and gave it to her husband? That'd be a death sentence of a sort. What if she and the boss decide the husband needs to have an "accident" so she doesn't have to give up half of their stuff? You hear about it all the time. In many states it is against divorce law, in that it make the difference if she tries to clean out the husband in divorce. True, in many other states that's not a factor, but if she can betray your marriage vows, she could plot against your life as well. I'd want to know if my woman were cheating, and you would too if you think about it. How about your gf decides you haven't done enough for her, and decides to have her new bf rob your house of all your gear, that she never liked anyway?
The point is, relationships are built on trust. If you can't trust that person you need to know ASAP to minimize the screwing you're going to take. If the woman is careless enough that casual acquaintances are finding out, someone should tell the guy before he does walk in on them, because that statistically is when the homicides happen.
Eventually, the cuckolded husband WILL find out - either someone will tell him, or they'll get careless and he'll catch them.

Re: would you spill the beans...

It's been said many times that ignorance is bliss. Be that as it may, keep in mind one very important factor; Newton's Third Law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The decisions you make today change the world, either on a large basis or, more commonly, a small one.

So.... look at this possible scenario. Let's say that the wife quits banging the boss because she feels guilty (or maybe he does). She reevaluates herself and realizes that she still loves her husband and vows to never cheat again. The husband never finds out. She's happy, the husband is happy, the kids are happy.

Conversely, suppose that you decided to be a "good Samaritan" and tip him off. Suppose he goes into a mad rage and murders the wife and/or her boss. Four children are now left without their mother because she's dead and their father because he's in prison.

So whatever decision you make, PLEASE consider the consequences. Just remember that this is not just a matter between you and your casual friend. There could possibly even be lives at stake.

Personally, I would stay as far away from this entire thing as I could get.

Re: would you spill the beans...

OR... you get a Pamela Smart scenario (the teacher who had her students kill her husband). Maybe not exactly, but you say nothing, she and the boss/bf decide that hubby has to go but his $500,000 life insurance has to stay, so he's the victim of a "random" crime and the murderers live large on his life insurance, because YOU didn't tip the guy off. There are a hundred scenarios we can shoot back and forthbut the husband deserves to know, period. Anyone who says they wouldn't want to know if their wife/gf was cheating is lying to themselves or to us. Should the woman be free to teach her kids that it's okay to cheat on Daddy with Uncle Boss? Now you have 4 more in societyoperating that way when they grow up, which is part of the big problem we have now.

                    EXACTLY!!!!

                    Here's a scenario:

Boss isn't only banging his slut/douche/ho underling, but also any other sceeze he comes across including the crack-whore he picks up on his way home when the other c-dumpster is "pretending" at home with her family. This in turn provides him with the HIVy which he so generously shares with his slut office bang. She then proceeds to play the part of good wife and passes it to the poor slob that wasn't told. TELL HIM NOW!!!!! Violence isn't the only thing that could kill him.
I hope I never need any of you keep to yourself guys to watch my back.

Okay, there's a clear distinction that needs to be made here. The original poster stated that he knows this couple casually. That's a bit different than a lifelong friend who once pulled me from a burning building, don't you think?

Re: would you spill the beans...

Bingo. That's the point 99% of these posts are missing. If it was my best friend, I wouldn't be asking advice. He would already know.

There has been lots of valid points brought up on both sides of the argument. My advice remains the same. It's none of your business.

See...as originally posted, I was first on the side of telling the guy, then thought about it, and came back and thought...better to steer clear of it.

I don't know know now...I'm very divided on this subject only because I just recently went through it myself (Yes...I was cheated on and that's what finished off what was left of our marriage)

I found out by snooping on my own, but my ex didn't exactly hide much about it either, except for denial that she actually was cheating on me. I don't hate her for it...our river ran it's course, and she was looking at greener pastures...so have I. But still...coming from this situation myself....I couldn't decide what would be the right course of action.

So if a casual acquaintance is about to step off the curb into a bread truck, you let him because he's not your best friend? Good to know.

Maybe this guy needs a friend that will look out for him and be genuine with trying to protect his best interest. Most friendships start with a casual acquaintence that grows. This could be that start. I bet that if the husband was cheating on the wife the casual female friend would tell her.
