I've seen one documentary that suggests Alexander was taking medication to fight the infection from his injuries, and may have been poisoned through an increased dose. A lot of medicines used were diluted poisons anyway. Not sure if it was accidental or a plot to take him out.

angelina jolie sucked....all the actors did a crap job really. The idea was good (for hte movie) but they just didn't execute at all.

It definitely wasn't a great movie, but I think it's a lot of better than most critics have given it credit for. I didn't feel like the movie was dragging at all during it's long three hour run.
