Recording to my computer..

Not sure if this is the right place for this..but, I have no idea how to record to my computer, and thought this might be a decent start. All I want to do is record guitar parts/songs so I can email them to the other members of our band. I need something simple.

That still doesn't really help me, I'm wanting to know if the M-Audio thing I linked to will work. Don't want to spend money for something that won't work.

I use cakewalk guitar tracks, It was like $29 at guitar center
