• To those who were offended, public apology

Hello everyone. I guess some people took offense to my avatar. It was not garnered for attention, not to offend. Just an expression of how I feel.

I will not get into the semantics of it or my beliefs.

I did not have it to start an arguement, and I've no interest in running one on the internet. No doubt, I love my country. I'm permitted to not like the direction it's going in. However, as a member of the JCF, I don't want to offend the JCF brotherhood.

So this is an apology to those who were offended.

Thanx bro! And if I offended you by being so rude and/or harsh, I too apologize!

Peace bro! Now go scrape up that Phil Collins tune, will ya?

We may not agree on some things, but quite standup of you to say this.

Not sure anyone can truly approve where the country is headed in many ways. I just hope for the best.

Whilst many of us may disagree on where the country should head, we all can agree that the JCF brotherhood is worth saving!!

I think I understood your meaning behind the avatar, and I wasn't offended by it. To publicly apologize to those who were is a very cool thing bro!

I think you should go back to that avatar. (I only vaguely recall it). Stand up for your beliefs!

[/ QUOTE ]You do realize Jeremy said he'd ban him if he didn't change the avatar, don't you?Deneb, nothing wrong with getting excited about your beliefs. Just remember it doesn't help either side if we just demonize the other. Half of my adult life the candidate I voted for lost, and well, the world went on.In 1980 I thought WWIII would happen right after Reagan's election, the way he talked. Who'd have thought the 80s would be the Golden Age of metal? Yet it was, and the Berlin Wall came down. It gave me a different perspective. It's important we remember to respect each other's beliefs. I didn't spend 1980 to 1992 telling my GOP friends they'd ruined the country by voting Reagan, then Bush. A lot of things were done that I disagreed with, but making enemies of half the people wouldn't help.I voted for Clinton both times too, and for Gore. The 9/11 attacks were what changed my vote this time, because I think we need stronger military leadership, which I didn't see coming from the Dems. Seeing both sides of the aisle, I can't demonize either, but seeing each do it to the other is a shame. We agree on more than we differ on. It's easy to get into a argument, but it solves nothing.Good for you for stepping up, that's very cool of you.
