Has anyone ever done this? I have never tried it, but I have heard it is very inspirational.

Re: playing guitar on the john
I have never had a bathroom that would allow this type of activity. The crapper is always squeezed in between the sink counter and a wall. Maybe I should get one of those little Dean playmate 1/2 size guitars to keep in the toilet brush holder.

Hey, it's the best way to get that EVH brown sound.

Didn't Spastik Children have a song called "What's That Smell?" ?
EDIT: Yup, and one called "Let Me Flush"

Re: playing guitar on the john
I once had to sit through band practice back in high school on the crapper. The other guys were in the garage and it was me, my 3A, and a Nady Wireless on the crapper rockin' out with my cock out.....

Re: playing guitar on the john
I've done it, but only electric. And I wasn't plugged in, so the sound didn't really make much difference. Lots of people do home recording in the bathroom, and I think Phil Spector got his "wall of sound" by having the entire band face away from the mic and towards the bathroom wall.

Re: playing guitar on the john
I've thought about it. A lot. There's certainly enough room at our place. But without having a wallhanger in there, the idea that I've got to rest the guitar against the wall while I wipe, and then pick up the guitar again on the way out turns me off.
Plus, there's the added danger that I'll forget the time and spend a couple of hours in there, cutting off circulation to my legs and doing permanent damage to myself.Hail yesterday
