I've been seeing some of these cards lately on Ebay (Echo Darla, Gina, Mia, etc) going for less than $400, and I know they've been around for years (prices used to START at $500 IIRC).
Since my Akai DPS12's display screen is crapping out, I thought about moving to PC-based recording, but I do want a quality input/card.
I'm seeing that most of these Echo units have 2 analog inputs, and an external box, but I'm not familiar with them. What does the box do, handle the multiple inputs to feed the PC? Are they multiple outs for going to an ADAT?
Anyone use the Event cards?
