For blues, a couple of local bands...Roomful of Blues, and Young Neal and the Vipers..Neal's work may be hard to find, but he did Stevie better than Stevie at times...

if you're into Brazilian bossa nova jazz (real smooth stuff), you can check out "Bossa Nova".
But he Shreds on "Live At Birdland". Seriously, he's a motherfucker, he's so good. his phrasing's awesome, and he scat sings behind all his amazing solos.Comment

Johnny Winter. My favorite is Guitar Slinger, from 1984. It has some really great solos and some great single note blues riffs. One solo in particular reaches out of the speakers and rips your head cleanly off.............Comment
