i shipped a guitar to Japan thru USPS. i insured the guitar for the full amount & more, just in case. on the declaration i wrote it was his guitar, that was sent to the states for repair work & shipped back. he was not charged taxes/tarriffs, because of this & had no problems with customs. just a heads up to anyone shipping overseas or who lives outside the US & wants a way around the taxes.
