BLIND GUARDIAN _ Since most power heads know who these guys are , they will be used as a reference. Those who don't know ...where have you been.

BRAINSTORM - (Metal Blade) ..One of THE best Power Metal bands out there today ..I put them at the very top of the heap..Every bit as good as Iced Earth and then some...This German band fronted by the great vocals of Andy B Frank should be a household name amoung ALL fans of awesome Power metal of the highest calibre...PERIOD...you must get their stuff NOW..ESSENTIAL!!

BURNING POINT - (Lmb) This German Power metal band had two out ..Salvation by fire / Feeding the flames ..I'm partial to the latter ...great straight forward metal that will please any fan of this genre.

JAMES BYRD's ALANTIS RISING...One hell of a guitarist formely of Fifth Reason ..along the lines of YJM and Uli..a true great. This stuff is a absolute must have for fans of Rising Force , Siver Mountain and the like....his solo stuff named BYRD is excellent neo clasical instrumental music as well.

CAGE - These guys have been around for a while and they are always compared to Priest...Their first two releases was decent ..Then with their third "Darker Than Black" this time around the writing and production is a huge improvement...a very enjoyable listen for straight power metal fans..the singer sounds like Timmy Owens.

CANS - Beyond The Gates (Noise) ..This is a project consisting of Jocaim Cans of Hammerfall and Metal Mike of Halford and Pain Museum...I like this better than anything Hammerfall ever did...If you like Hammerfall...You'll probably really like this.

CHINCHILLA - (Metal Blade) ..Typical charging German Power Metal that borrow a from the Helloween formula ...what power metal band from Germany doesn't..These guys have four very decent Power Metal albulms out that are definitely worth a listen..Good but not essential to me ...but maybe to some.

CONCEPTION - (Noise) One AMAZING metal band consisting of the cool vox of Khan of Kamelot and the awesome guitarist Tore Otsby of Ark...Conception has four studio albums under their belt ..their last one "Flow" although still good ..it was a major change from their old direction which led them to their demise..I HIGHLY recommend this band and insist that this is very ESSENTIAL stuff.

CONCERTO MOON - (Lmb) Another amazing power prog band from Japan that is of the highest calibre. They have four studio and one live . The guitarist is as good as anyone , as is the band and the music ..Unfortunately the lyrics are in Japanese...But what a freakin' great guitarist...they always have pretty artwork too!!!!

DC COOPER - S/T (Century Media) Ex frontman of Royal Hunt ...great singer BUT he's joined by my dude Tore Otsby on guitar ...man I love that guys playing..this disc is very cool in a classic Rainbow sorta way..very good listen...and somewhat Essential to me.

CRYSTAL EYES - (Shark) This is the epitome of highly polished , upbeat European power metal. Crystal Eyes has three out ..Vegeance Descending / In a world of black and silver / In Silence they march (the best one IMO) ...This is for fans of Hammerfall , Falconer , Lost Horizon , Helloween...if you like that kind of stuff...You want this!

DARK MOOR - (Arise) This Power Metal band if from Spain and just got better with each of their four releases...with their latest (S/T) they have a new singer and it is one top notch power metal album..anyone into Bling Guardian , Edguy , Helloween ...needs to investigate this band and quick....Their last one (S/T) is by far their best.

Of course Arsis is awesome ...I love them ..But I'm blastin' thru the Power metal stuff as fast as aI can first before I get to bands like Arsis...be patient my friend ...It's coming..It is coming!!!

DEVANE - Hey I just have to throw this out there of course because not only is this a very highly polished MELODIC metal band but it is the band of our very own DM...I'm sure everyone here has checked out Devane's brand of metal...and were quite impressed ..I know John and I were....for any fans of Savatage / Queensryche!!

DEMONS AND WIZARDS - S/T ...OK most of you SHOULD know what this is ...This is one part Blind Guardian ..one part Iced Earth...great stuff and ESSENTIAL!!

DESTINYS END - (Metal Blade) I love James Rivera "The Mexican" Halford"...he's got a great voice ..one of the best ever live. Well I've been a fan of his since the days of Helstar. This band is now called NEW EDEN but fronted by Rivera..very good stuff indeed..definitely for fans of Priest.

DGM - (Scarlet) AWESOME Italian Power Prog band with great neo classical shred ..they have three.."wings of time" , "dreamland" and their most polished "prog" one "hidden place"...a VERY kick ass band.

DIONYSUS - Sign of the Truth (AFM) Another highly polished neo classical power metal band with great vocals and shredding..Luca Turelli of Rhapsody is a guest if this gives you a clue...great power metal.

DISTANT THUNDER - Welcome to the End (Massacre) cool name..sounds like a Helstar rip off..because it is. James Rivera (awesome dude and singer) new powermetal band..great stuff...this guy can do know wrong with me and the band , music and writing do him justice...if you like Seven Witches ..you'll like this better.

DIVISION - Trinity ..great album , excellent straight foward , aggressive metal and again a band of one our JCF bros ..for fans of Savatage , Iced Earth , Megadeth!!...I'm jealous , I can't wait to get my own crap materialized.

DOUBLE DEALER - Deride to the top / S/T (Lmb) That Japanese Concerto Moon virtuoso I was telling you about ealier is in this band..this has an American singer ..well it's english not like Concerto Moon..it's more of AORish Metal ..what a freaking guitarist..good stuff..for fans of Last Tribe , Takara , Ten , Midnight Sun and YJM.

AT VANCE - (Shark) One of the if not THE best neo classical shred power metal bands of all time. Olaf Lenk is probably one of the very best guitarist in existence today. There is five releases in all and I have them all..Oliver Hartman (great singer) was their singer until vocal god Mats Levin took over vox duties on their last power metal masterpiece "The Evil is in you" on AFM ...I forgot this when I was at the A's...ESSENTIAL stuff!!

DRAGONFORCE - (Sanctuary) these dudes have two releases that are pretty damn good. Yep it's cheezy , galloping power metal of the best kind...sounds like Iced Earth meets Helloween..damn worthy of checking into.

DRAGONLAND - (Black Lotus) . Very ornate medievil based power metal , yep it's got the swords and the dragon that screams in the niiiiiigghhhhhhhht...and they do it very well...fans of Hammerfall , Falconer , Rhapsody..you'll love this!

DREAM Evil - (Century Media) ..yeah this is Gus G's and Fredrick Norstroms baby..Very Tongue-In-Cheek Power Metal with awesome solos...but too bad this band doesn't take itself a tad more serious...they're a great band...they have three out...all equally good.

ACE ....Go to sleep for now ..I know I'm not talkin' your language just yet ...but we will soon ...I'm going to try and breeze thru this as quick as possible....Keep an eye here man ...I'm going to NEED you!

DUNGEON - Rise to power (Lmb) Pretty cool german power metal with good production and writing..one of the better powwer metal bands out there..lot's of shredding..cool artwork but everything on the Limb label seems to be....geat label for some good power and prog metal.

EASY RIDER - (Regeneration) Locomotive The BEST spanish Power metal band in existence...thios time they have a new singer who really kicked a already good metal band in the ass...This album is truly EXCELLENT and absolutely ESSENTIAL for all power metal fans...you'll thank me for this one..Their older stuff is great too ..but start with this one.

EDGUY - AFM / (Nuclear Blast. This is a truly ESSENTIAL power metal band ...you can't go wrong with any of ther stuff..they are on the same leavel as Gamma Ray , Helloween , Iron Savior , Primal Fear...they changed their style a lot on their latest "hellfire club" their first on Nuclear Blast...but it works ..it's a kicks ass album.

EDENBRIDGE - (Lmb) A Female fronted power prog band worth a listen. Anyone into Dream Theatre to Nightwish would truly dig this..very dynamic stuff and she has a great voice..

EIDOLON (Metal Blade) - The Drover brothers. Now that Glen and Shawn are BIG SHOTS in Megadeth maybe that will get people into this long over looked talent...This stuff is amazing Dark progressive metal band from Canada. Glen also has one unique guitar tone and style ...he's a great player ...good enough for Mustaine and King Diamond...hell "nuff said , I would get their last one because it's a double "Apostles of the Apocalypse" and you get their old album "seven worlds" with it...plus they give the horns to John and I in the credits!ESSENTIAL!!!
