    I think both Avantasia albums are pretty important. The project of Edguy's singer, Tobias Sammet. The opening track on the second album rules.

    Also, not sure if this is "power" enough, but damn good anyway...

    Ayreon - especially the newest album "The Human Equation" (James LaBrie is one of the singers on this one) is great prog-type metal with analog ELP-ish synths. Arjen Anthony Lucassen (sp?) is the guy that organizes/writes/plays on each album. Also check out his other projects, Ambeon and Star One. Russel Allen sings on Star One, pretty cool.

        See one of my fag enemys just bombed me wih a one star..like I knew that wasn't gonna happen...stupid asses.

        well they're not going to dicourage me ...I'm going to make this thread GREAT!!

        with the help of my friends..fukk them they're just totaly jealous for whatever reason!

        I'm taking my time to share this with true metal heads like myself...anyone attacking this is NOT a friggin' metal head...obviously.

        These dicks can give me a one star all day...I'm going to continue this thing without a care.

        But I just wanted to expose what kind of people we have here....and I know who they are..duh!

        There is no rational reason to give a one star to anyone wanting to share great music with others and share their love for Metal....no rational reason at all.

            BLACK MAJESTY - Rise to Power (LMB) awesome power metal in vein of classic queensryches meets Judas Priest. Great vocals , playing and production ...and NOT a waste of money ...a enjoyable listen...I was going to include them G but ..many here want to get to other genres..so I'm trying to breeze thru to the super good ones....even though Black Majesty is certainly good.

              I'm trying to breeze thru this ...maybe I shouldn't

              BUT you guys can chime in and mention all the bands you want ...just like me..

              I'm just going to do what I'm doing ...for quite a while..it looks like.

                The only thread I've ever given a one star was my own. It's not like there is some contest at the end of the year and whoever started the thread with the most 5 star ratings gets a guitar. Or the person with the lowest rated thread gets kicked in the ass by Ron at NAMM.

                  Bill, I'm going to give Eidolon a try based on your recommendation. There has to be a Canadian metal band that doesn't suck. You mentioned Anvil...man I always hated them. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Those dudes were so cheesy.

                  In the 80's there were two Canuck metal bands that I really dug - Razor and Sacrifice. Well, I liked a few of their songs...well one from each to be honest. But they were better than Anvil.

                  I have a couple of very good friends that have had a 15 year on going metal project called "Panty Lion" and "Grindwheel". I'll see if I can get you a copy of some of this stuff. To me it sounds like Mr. Bungle ran up the as$ of Suffocation while they were puking up Amorphis. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                                I'm just making fun of whoever would do something like that too. I've never thought for a minute seriously that you really blamed me for any of that petty crap.
