Yeah, i thought it was cool that they talked to Scot Ian, maybe in the future they will air a full blown special where all his friends can take part in it.
Vinnie Paul back on the vulgar tour told me the story of Dave Mustaine trying to get Darryl to join megadeth. He said that when Dime passed, Mustaine told him he would never amount to anything.I asked him if that was going to affect the euro-tour with pantera and megadeth and he said ,no, that they patched things up since then.I can honestly say that Dime was a blast to hang ouot with and down some drinks with.He made friends everywhere he went, as it is obvious by reading all the comments coming from the rock/metal community.I only hanged out with him a couple of times, but mand were they fun times. The time him and vinnie tried convincing my date that vinnie was the drummer for aerosmith still makes me laugh, they almost had her buying it until some pantera fans came up and ruined thier scam.lol. Dime nearly craked my head open when he head butted me that night. Some reason,on the CFH tour, they like to head butt each other. A way to show they digged ya.Dime and vinnie were always willing to take the time to talk to ya and sign anything you wanted them to. When i told darrly that i had a randall and there was no way i could get mine to sound like his, he took me to the side of the stage and let me write down his settings.I laughed when we got to his rig .He had two racks about five feet tall.4-5 randalls, each one had a commpressor and a bbe sonic maximizer.I told him that "yeah, now all i need is to go to nasa and get everything i see here.He laughed and asked what we were soing after the show.W
All I got to say is Dime would've loved this if he was here, he was an awsome guy, all of here are still in shock here, but we're here honering dime, blasting damage plan and pantera and thinking of the good times

Em, I know it's a little late. But is there any chance you could run off a copy for me? I'm happy to reimburse you for your time. If it's too late though, that's cool.
I just finished watching MuchLoud (half hour metal and hard rock show here in Canada) where they re-aired the episode from the summer when Dime and Vinnie Paul hosted the show and played videos they liked. The final video of the show was Damageplan's "Save Me". This is probably nothing like the Headbanger's Ball thing you guys get to see but still it's better than nothing considering I don't have receive any American music stations here in Canada.
It was pretty cool - nice of MTV to do the tribute - I was a bit disappointed it was about 70% commercials and 30% show/videos … I think they could have done a lot more interviews and had NO commercials. Would have been cool to see a retrospective view of Dime – or a more in depth look back.

Hey I remember Much Music. We used to watch on a huge satellite dish back in the mid to late 80's. Are you old enough to remember the "Pepsi Power Hour" hosted by J.D. It was a pretty good show back in those days. I have two or three vhs tapes filled with videos from that show. The best ones were the two hour request shows they had from time to time. That really brings back some good memories. Good times, good times.

Headbanger's Ball is usually two hours, but they only did an hour tribute to Dime, then they did the pre-taped normal HBB for I guess the second hour. I didn't watch the second part, so I'm not sure how long it was tonight.
