Re: Mustaine is making me eat my words!

only 1 hour??!?
How are they able to pay a tribute by just running it an hour?!?!?!
And Headbanger's ball runs only 2 hours??
I thought these shows used to run for 3 hours back in 80's and early 90's..

1 hour, but as mentioned, actually more like 30 minutes... MAX!

Oh well, it was good and short notice. I'd imagine we'll see something on VHI soon enough. I hate MTV, haven't watched it in yrs I don't think, not regularly anyway.

i'll bet you're right. i caught megadeth within 2 or 3 days of cliff dieing. megadave was pretty upset about it and mentioned it several times during the show.

This probably reminds him of Cliff a lot, even though that was an accident.

Fuse also did a tribute right after the HBB. The HM show Uranium... Juliya hosted it. SHe talked of times with DBD. They showd a bunch of interview clips she did with them from the last year. Played a few videos. Good stuff. Dave was good too. Real stories from the road and good call-ins. RIP DBD.

Re: Mustaine is making me eat my words!

I've never met Dave personally, but I hear bad things, but then again, I hear lots of good things to, anyway, if these bad things were true, I hope he's serious about changing, it can only lead to good things.
Once again,
RIP Dime.

Re: Mustaine is making me eat my words!

Sounds like sincere words on Mustaine's part. Maybe a true change of heart. But actions speak louder than words. I suspect that, when he resumes his "normal" life, the old DM will come shining through again, s**ttier than ever. RIP Dime - you must have been quite the cool dude in person to inspire all the good vibes and good will pouring out of your tragedy.

This is the third time I've seen such a letter from Mr. Mustaine since 1999. One word sums up my sentiment.

"DANDY"
"POOP"

Re: Mustaine is making me eat my words!

It was a very cool special. Dave was appropriately solemn, and clearly humbled to be doing this special. I believe him when he writes he wants to live more like Darrell.

It's amazing to see that Darrell's personality, lifestyle, and overall decency were just as influential as his guitar playing. This planet needs more people like him, for sure.

Agreed. I hope he actually means it.

I was thining about this... that this might get certain guys to rethink their relationships with ex-bandmates. I was thinking if Slash and Axl would ever talk again etc...

Maybe just Maybe Dave and James can get together kick the hamster out and actually put metal out again? Naw that is crazy talk

Aye I read it on PPM, Jim.

I hope he keeps it up, but I'm afraid it'll be forgotten in a month or two.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.
