Thank God the Yankees did get him! [img]/images/graemlins/nono.gif[/img] I would've had to disown the Yanks (not really), but I would've been disappointed though.

Can't blame him for takin' the Mets. They offered him the extra year in his contract. So regardless if he does well or not, he's got an extra, what, 8 million coming in 2008.

He may not win another World Series, cause the Mets have a history of killing good players, e.g.- George Foster, Mo Vaughn, Bobby Bonilla. [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img]

I'm kind of liking the rotation of Mike Mussina, Carl Pavano, Jared Wright and Randy Johnson , though. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

So are Red Sox fans. Johnson wasn't playing very well in the American league when he left Seattle. And you are jumping right back into the unproven NL pitchers again like Vazquez last year.

But of course Schilling now won't be ready by April. By his own admittance that was just posted on news sites this morning. So the Sox have a starting rotation that consists of Wakefield, Wells, Arroyo, ?????? and ??????.

Kind of makes me worried that the Sox picked up Wells. He could be a sleeper for them. I always liked the way he pitched. If I had my choice, I would have rather Pedro stay in Boston and Wells stay in SD.
