Re: What would you buy???

The $10,890 is after rebates. They already added in the $1500. and the $500.00 rebate. They also took $2000.00 off because it is a leftover. I think I am gonna look for a kick a$$ $10,000.00 used car and put 3K down and finance 7K for 60 months. I just can't have a car payment more than $150.00 per month. Hopefully the interest rate on a used car isn't too crazy.

      Re: What would you buy???

In all honesty, unless you can get 0% for 60 months, your better off with a new one....at least a new one has a full warranty, and from what Ive seen, its alot easier financing on a new one rather than a used one...I havent seen a contract for a used car from any financing company for under 10%. We have a killer deal on a used car right now.....4K for an 03 Camaro....the clutch is gone in it, but hey.....some of these Marines around here are too stupid to know that!!!!

By the way all the cars on your list really stink. The diesel would be the way to go really otherweise look at a Honda or Acura. Saturns just suck period stay away. I have experience with all types of cars, muscle and classic cars, rotary engine cars, import tuners, Dodge trucks and off road vehicles. I have owned over twenty cars and I am not just talking out of my butt. If you can get a deal on a newer Volvo that would be the way to go.

                    Re: What would you buy???

I work on the junk they call cars every day....

I say Look at Toyota Camry, or Honda Civic/Accords and see what you think, they last and last... And aren't too hard to get fixed when they break.

VWs are nice, but most places don't understand the way the electronics transfer data in them and are sometimes hard to get certain parts for.

Run away from the Neon and the Focus for sure... For some reason, hehe, I almost always havce a couple in my shop for transmission work.

I'd really only think of the Saturn if you plan on getting a DEALER warranty with it and get rid of it when the warranty is over. They aren't horrid cars at all, just that they pretty much have to be dealt with by a dealer if you have any computer engine management or driveline management troubles. Most shops cannot reset the computers, so it can be a pain to get serviced for many things.

Well lets just say that I live in California and if I had an AK that would be illegal. I have a soviet SKS that will do the trick. LOL

I checked out a 2002 Nissan Sentra 2.0 that was pretty awesome. It was an automatic and it was loaded and pretty darn fast. I also looked at the 2005 Chevy Aveo. It is one of those new small subcompact cars similar to the Scion. It was pretty nice too and on sale for $8888.00. I liked the Nissan.

Yeah that Sentra would be better than any on your initial list. Me, I'm gonna get a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis!

I bought a Hyundai Elantra GT hatcback a few months back and I am very happy with it...I know some of you think little of them but I got a fully loaded car and I only pay $197 a month. It is pretty fast too. Though with manuals it is all how you drive it. I beat some ginormous truck off the line that had a V8 a few years back in my old white 1991 Nissan Sentra. If you know how to drive them, manuals can be very fast.
