    Re: Gifts for the S.O?

I'm glad my girlfriend's idea of dressing up is a nice pair of jeans and I've never seen her wear jewelry. Though it is a bit harder to shop for her, it's also a lot cheaper!

I'm lucky...mine refuses to wear any jewelry but her engagement ring. And that means I can get her really fun gifts. I just got her a glider ride for her birthday. I figured if she's willing to jump out of an airplane, she's dig a glider.

Axe is right-earrings are almost always a safe bet-plus since they are not as elaborate as a necklace or bracelet, you can get very nice ones in your price range....real diamonds and everything! Mine got earrings last year, so I had to do something a little different this year.

Thetroy-consider yourself lucky. Girls like that are cool as hell. You should get her a motorcycle or a snowmobile or something fun like that.

I think I"ll buy a set of something...necklace and earrings. Give her the earings for christmas, and save the necklace until her Birthday in February. I"ll splurge a little more if I have to. thanks to citibank.

That all depends on what you think you're going to be getting for $200. For $200, you'll get maybe two or three really nice pearls. Get her a really nice gem quality birthstone for around that price... not that typical commercial grade crap. A $200 pearl necklace is akin to 9k gold, IMO.

I just got back from the jewelry store. I got a necklace/pendant and matchign set of earings for 250 dollars. With her birthstone in them Amethyst. I'd take a picture but the lady wrapped them up for me.

its more a showing of my appreciation. She's been extremely patient..I've been gone since June only showing up periodically, as I 've been stuck here.. and she's still going to school. I kind of half expected her to forget about me. BUt she didn't.

She could have run off with a number of guys whom are more well-adjusted and gentlemanly than I could ever be. She's the cutest thing I"ve ever laid eyes on, (laid for that matter). I will have pictures next month for certain.
