Anyone watch the Dave Chapell (sp?) show? One of his first episodes was on the other night. In it, he did a skit about a famous white supremicist book writer. He would go around speaking at all the KKK rallies, dunce hood on and all. Only the guy was actually a blind black man, raised his entire life to think he was white. Thank you. You forgot to mention the division because of the Depression in the early 1800's that nearly devistated the North but did little to the south.

Slavery was not any underlying cause of the Civil War. It was an issue, yes, but only sort of after the fact. If it weren't for political strife and disagreements about the Constitution between the States, coupled with the depression in the North, the war might have never happened.
