I am thankful we have short signatures. I used to visit a forum where there was basically no limit to sig size and people abused it. You would have someone replying with one sentence or a simple emoticon, only to scroll through five screens' worth of their huge pictures, quotes, links to their favorite threads, and other useless junk that took up downloading time. It became like trying to avoid internet pop-ups or TV commercials and other useless crap I don't care to look at.
