Other guitar forums that are (almost) as good as

This is the only forum i trust buying stuff from people, but i want to look at other places too.

Most other forums blow bag..............Its just sad what is out there. Actually I had a deal go on at the Kramer forum, and I was happy with it. They are very small though............

The Dean forum is very cool.

you don't see as much cool gear being sold on their "trading" section, and it's a be-yatch selling anything there (apparently, nobody has any money), but it's still worth a look.

I post at the Guitarist Works forum a lot now. It was started by the guys who got tired of the jerk admins at the Carvin forum. That place became hard to have a conversation on, they deleted any post that didnt speak highly of Carvin gear or even mentioned another company's product. Then they deleted the Lounge (the equivalent to our Non Jackson area). I was even the recipient of a rude email because my sig had the word "damn" in there!

ehh both of those look subpar.

i can imagine fender is bloated with a bunch of kiddies that just say ROLF Jackson IS TEH suxor and FENDEER ALL TEH WAAAY.

FDP is filled with people who think a guitars playability is affected if it has a pointy headstock, a floating trem, and any other name on the headstock other than Fender. The majority of people there seem to be either geezer tele players or 10 year old Squire players..........

Yeah, I like the FDP as well. I haven't been there in a while, but it's cool. Other boards I like are Hamer, Les Paul and Carvin.

There is a core of good people on the FDP. Yes, there are people like you describe who float around, but there are some really cool people there that make up the difference.

www.jemsite.com is pretty cool, especially if you're looking for info on Ibanez guitars, Steve Vai, etc. Don't know about the dealing forum, never bothered with it. Sometimes they have cool discussions, but for a while now it has just been "custom 8 string" this and "custom 9 string" that. Plus TONS of newbie questions regarding trems and pedals that make people sound like Steve Vai.

I've had very good experiences on the Les Paul Forum, Jemsite, and TDPRI (Tele board).
