what did i get for xmas?.....hmmm i sold my Harley and bought my self a marshall mini stack (2x10) a set of Roland v-drums and am looking at spending the rest of the money to buy into the Demon jackson. or at least buying some kind of high end guitar, just not sure what kind yet.
as for family getting me stuff, i think they finally got the idea i dont want meaningless gifts that i would never use just so they can say they got me something.
ppl always give me stuff like cologne that i cant stand and never wear,or dress shirts that are totally not my style and tell me "i didnt know what else to get you" when all i ever ask for is simple gear that i can use like picks,strings, drumsticks.
i dont know maybe i am just an ole scrooge.

I got some pretty cool CD's, Anthrax, Deicide, Racer X, Motley Crue. A monsters of Metal DVD (some cool stuff on it). Some films. Cool children of bodom t shirts. And a new cell phone. And some money towards my driving lessons

Well, I got some cash from my mom and dad which I'll use to help pay off the remaining balance on my Zwengel half-stack.

I got a Jim Beam shirt, a Jim Beam shot glass, and a martini shaker from my bro. They were kind of gag gifts because he has a buddy who does promotional products for the liquor industry, so they didn't cost him anything. He even gave my 6 year old a shirt promoting some schnapps brand, which I felt was not only slightly inappropriate, but also hilariously funny. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Will I let her wear it? Heck yeah.

Haven't done Christmas with my inlaws yet, but I expect to get some new gloves and a cashmier scarf from them to match the leather jacket I bought earlier this year. I think a Mindy Smith CD will also be under the tree for me.

I had two business trips in December, so my wife and I decided to take care of the kids (present-wise)for Christmas, but we would wait until after Christmas to buy something for each other. I will probably get some bar stools for my music room so my buddy and I can jam while sitting down. I want some nice tall, armless stools with a back and a footrest.

Christmases are not huge events for my wife and I. We get good stuff for the kids (3 & 6), and with gifts for parents, grandparents, etc., there isn't a ton of money left over for large purchases for her and I. It's OK, though, cuz we take care of each other during the year. She took a vacation with a friend of hers, and I got a Roscoe bass this past summer that wasn't cheap by any means, so I'm happy.

My biggest gift this Christmas is that I am with my family, have off of work between now and Jan 3rd, and have no business trips scheduled yet for January. THAT feels good.

That single cut Kramer looked cool, NOTP; I'll have to take a look at that.

Maybe its mushy, but when you live a lifestyle like we do being able to have your family together is the coolest thing. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
I haven't seen my extended family in years, but we keep in touch. I'll talk to Mom and Dad today.

Other than that... Keith got me that Jack Black movie "School of Rock". [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] I LOVE Jack Black and that movie just kills me. It is sooo funny!
I can't say what else he gave me... hee hee. Shhh.

I gave Keith "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. I can't wait until he's done with it so I can read it. Also gave him "The Family Guy" season 1 and 2 on DVD. Yeah, he'll be in front of the tube all day. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

The kids got the boomboxes they wanted from Santa and my son got this very cool robot that shoots disks out of its face. That thing RULES!!! Omigod, we've been playing with that robot all morning. It's eyes glow red. I can't wait to play with it in the dark and scare the hell out of Keith when he's sleeping. KaPOW!! Muahahaha!!

I was given an electric bill that was forgotten in the car. No biggie. I will treat myself to a nice 12 pack of Budweiser tonight and celebrate the last night of my 20's.

I got some food and professionally baked cookies (Kick Ass!), a Borders gift card (Kick Ass!), and a cart for suit cases and gigging equipment (way Kick Ass!).

My big gift was the DK2LE I bought for myself earlier this month. The wife and kids got me a new DVD player, wireless headphones for late night practicing (YES! - the others were pissing me off), a nice watch, basics like socks and t-shirts, and my mom-in-law gave me a gift certificate from our local music store (guess she realizes guitars have replaced golf as my hobby).

I got a new printer/scanner, a DVD burner, 30 blank DVD-Rs, a Tommy Hilfiger down filled winter coat, A bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin, 2 huge bottle of Cattle Boys barbeque sauce, 2 bottles of wine. seat covers for my truck, and other stuff I don't remember.
