Other than the clap?
Prolly the wah I modded (thanks to John / jgcable) that I gave my wife's cousin. He's a good kid, and did not choose his parents well, so this was prolly the first Christmas that he's spent with reasonably 'normal' families in a long time.

Re: What did you give?
I gave my Dad a Martin HD-35..... He's always wanted a Martin since he was a little boy and I was fortunate enough to be able to pick one up earlier this year and kinda give a little back to the Old Man. He was all smiles.... and so was I.

I believe it's one of those robot vacuum cleaners, that cleans while you play guitar, drums, etc...!

Re: What did you give?
So far, so good.
It doesn't like one or two throw rugs (one with tassles), but handles most throw rugs great, it worked around three rugs in my house and snagged on two others.
Truthfully, I think it is best on tile and hardwood, but it runs for like an hour per charge, and picks up pretty well.
I dunno if the novelty will last, but so far it looks promising.
It is kind of loud, not as high pitched as a dust buster and nowhere near as loud as a regular vacuum. You can carry on a conversation with it going.
It also has a remote. It was missing a spot, so when it had worked for a while and kept going around this spot, I drove it with the remote to the spot and pressed the 'spot button' and it drove in a widening circle around that spot until it got out to about a five foot diameter circle or hit something.
So far I'd say it is not a piece of crap, but I dunno if I'd wait another generation or try it now. I am happy with it, but it's not worth it if you end up baby sitting it, cause it takes about 3X as long to vacuum as a person since it is almost random in where it goes.
If I were single, I'd let it go in an apartment before I jump in the shower and eat breakfast, look around for missed spots and give them a quick run over, and go to work. When you take a shower in space, you have to press the water onto your body to clean yourself, and then you gotta vacuum it off. - Ace Frehley

Re: What did you give?
A really cool and sentimental silver chain to someone close to me. I feel naked without it, but it's comforting to know that she adores it as much as I adore it on her.

Re: What did you give?
Maybe the tassles can serve as dental floss for it. Have any cats or dogs? How do they get along with it? It's only a matter of time before we see one go Tyson on the poor little roomba, on Americas Funniest Videos, or Stupid Pet Tricks. That's if it hasn't happened yet. Personally, I want to see one in action on Cops! That would be hi-larious.

Re: What did you give?
Xeno, that's cool, the sentamental gifts are the best.
I've got a dog, but he's retarded. I love the guy but geez, you could do anything short of amputating his body parts and he wouldn't care. I'm not sure he'd move if the thing ran into him
Yeah, I'd watch out if you had a playful dog or jealous cat. When you take a shower in space, you have to press the water onto your body to clean yourself, and then you gotta vacuum it off. - Ace Frehley

Yeah, it's the nicest gift I think I could have given without doing the amputating thing... I'm not a retarded dog. The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.

Re: What did you give?
We gave our friends son a used Jackson Kelly Pro. Yes it was used, but he was estatic when he opened it. Hes only 10 I think, and has wanted to learn to play since I took over School of Rock for him to watch. So, with that he got some strings and picks from us, and his mom and dad are getting him a cheap amp and lessons out in town....
