But seriously, that's great that you have a good drummer. Good, professional drummers are hard to come by. -

i love my drummer too. it just sucks that i'm borrowing him from another band and have to have him on "payroll" to keep him. but he rocks, therefore we rock, so it is worth it.GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!Comment

Must be nice!...Our first drummer didn't even own a drum set. The only time he practiced was at practice. My bass player & I had to have constant eye contact with each other to keep things from falling apart.
Then we got a new drummer (my brother-in-law). He was a power drummer...and a bigtime drunk. He brought in a new singer with him...kind of a package deal. We were messing around during a break one night. The singer jumped on the drums, and blew me away! I'm talking studio quality, can play anything type of drummer. Here was the best drummer I have ever jammed with, and I cant get him in the band (as a drummer) because of family politics....It sucked!>>--HuntinDoug-->Comment

Our drummer is really pretty cool. He was pretty rough when we all got together, but has practiced his ass off, and really shown improvement. But we may also lose him to family politics, his brother is the bass player, and the guy just sucks, and won't practice (except at practice).Comment

ps...I **** hate my drummer, he whines and bitches too much. Worse yet, he does it after the rest of the band decides on something. All he wants to do is do "raw" blues jams that would make the audience ZzZZzzZ ...but he's all we've got for the moment, so we're stuck.Comment

Our drummer rocks, too. We're his first band, so he's still a bit rough now and then. But he shows up on time, never has a bad thing to say about anything, hustles to get gigs and never says no to having a brew after practice.Comment

I have always been pretty lucky when it comes to drummers. The two that I've worked with both approached ME and both were dedicated, experienced and awesome musicians. The last drummer I had was so good I was intimidated playing with him.Comment
