Looks like it was taken in Thailand(This is also the 2nd wave, the one that did the real damage). I now see why so many people were killed, at 1st it doesn't seem that dangerous, but the water just keeps coming and coming. I saw another video of a boat about 400 meters offshore, and all it did was bob and down over a little swell, like a normal wave. No wonder people had no time to react.

Holy shit! I always thought: 'those waves are small, how can they do so much damage?'

And now you see a small flood first. But it keeps coming and coming until it's like an out of control river, sweeping along everything.

There's two people that get trapped under debris in the first vid, did they die?

Did you see all the videos and pictures. Everyone was standing around try to figure out why the ocean had gone out so quick then the wave comes in and everyone freaks out(as they should). Did you see the one video of the wave that doesn't seem to big at first then as it get closer and closer it builds height, then the dam thing is like 30 feet high and not breaking like you would assume a wave to. Like I said before I saw these videos I couldn't figure out how they killed so many, but after seeing these, leaves no doubt how devastating they are. People are like all ooohh and ahh until the dam things about 100 yards away. Imagine on a warm California summmer day if one of these things hit without warning. very sad for all the people in the affected areas. Now they have to deal with hunger and disease.
