Hmmm, I dunno what to think about it. I mean, I like the way it sounds, the guitars aren't overly gainy like on the Ripper-era Priest and the drums are nice and powerful, but the song itself was okay.

Regarding Jane's Addiction, perhaps Priest sampled them... you know, like rappers sampling "Crazy Train" riffs and whatnot... it's the in thing to do these days. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

i like the song, but it's hard for me to listen to it. i can't get past the blatant jane's ripoff. i do plan on getting the album, though. i'm not the biggest jp fan, but a kid i grew up with was a big fan, so a lot of their older stuff (up to turbo) has a soft spot in my heart.

Turbo Lover is a better song than this one. There's nothing distinct about it. And if it is a ripoff of Jane's Addiction, that's another minus (sorry Sully, I can't stand them).

well, the hook of the song is the mountain song, note for note. listen to the clips i posted!!!!! and don't feel bad, i know that janes isn't everyone's cup of tea. of course, i don't get that, but that's okay!

I always thought it was pretty blatant, but maybe it was just a coincidence. I sometimes write riffs and then later on I'll think it sounds like something else I've heard before.
