It outruns a Zonda C12.

It's still a car. It still leans the wrong way!
Also, it's roughly twice as heavy as a Hayabusa, it's motor donor.
Therefore, a good sportbike will still spank it.
How much?

I had an RC51 for 3 years and it a great bike. A little heavy but it's the most stable bike I've ever ridden. It handles great but the weight can be felt in the tighter sections of track or road. All things being equal it is a bit slower than the 1000RR but it's much more fun to ride and with a performance exhaust is the meanest sounding bike ever. I love v-twin sportbikes! If you decide to go with the 51 let me know and I can help you out with the best performance upgrades and mods. I know a lot about that bike. What ever you do, don't pay retail on a new one. 02'-05' are exactly the same minus colors and graphics.

hey Greg, what kinda pocket bike did you get? Ive been interested in picking one up on a lark, but have heard a lot of horror stories about poor quality ones with hard to find parts. Those super cheap ones on Ebay sound like to much fun to pass up on!

If you guys are looking for a killer play bike then get a CRF 50. They even have a class for them at some motocross tracks. Tons of aftermarket parts for both customizing and performance.

Chuck if the roads are that curvy why not the GSXR 750? Big bore power but in a tighter crisper handling package.
Of course what do I know about street/performance bikes, I'm the JCF dirtbike fanatic.

+1 on the dirtbikes! We had warmer weather here in Michigan recently, so I was able to take my KX250 out for little shake down run in a field by my house on New Years Day. Man I miss the outdoor MX Tracks. Winter sucks! There are a few indoor facilities here that I may check out in the next few weeks though.

Bikes are a blast! (which I'm sure you already know). Enjoy it and be safe Chuck.
