Man , I'd love to be able to get 60% of the potential out of a 1000 Sportbike . I have a 600RR . I'd even love to be able to get 60% potential out of it [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
I always wanted a Fireblade (1000RR) but my head told me it's too much for my ability .
There are some crazy road races over here !! Chuck , you'd love it . The North West 200 saw 200mph on the straight this year . That was on a 1000RR !! Short boat journey to the Isle Of Man TT [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

Oh man, the Isle Of Man is a dream to me! You kiddin me?? The Northwest 200...I've read all about these races, true 'road' races...

I've been riding a Hayabusa since spring 04 and although I was initially nervous about riding it, I've since logged about 1500 miles and absolutely love that bike! I might throw a set of Heli Bars on it this year, but overall I'm very happy with it.

When's the first annual JCF ride anyway?

Yeah, I hear you. Some things on this little bike are extremely impressive(frame, triple clamps, wheels, tires, lights, turn signals, gauges, etc.) but there are some bits and pieces that are cheap plastic and will easily break.

If you want to know how to unrestrict(remove the speed governor) on these things, let me know [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I bought 2 of those little bikes for my sons for Christmas but I got 4-stroke 70cc bikes. I got one Super pocket bike and one Chopper. They are labled 49cc for customs and classifications but really 70cc's. So far they seem to be doing fine, we'll see how long they last. I paid about 1500 delivered for the both of them.

The kids wanted these because we are running out of ATV land around my hood (new subdivision construction now) and the neighbors always call the cops on them, they have 90 cc 2-Stroke quads and I have a 300 Honda SportTrax. Funny that the cops said these pocket bikes are legal as long as they are on the sidewalks lol...my one son said he broke 40 MPH on it.

If you are honda guy get the CBR. Have you seen any pics of the repsol replica-cool bike.

I have an 05 gixxer 1k coming but it looks pretty small so I might nix it if it doesn't make a good street bike-Can't afford a bunch of track days or smashing up 10k on the track.

Although, had a tire go down on my 03 1k last june spent the summer laid up almost lost the leg after it got infected and broke my playing hand. Was a low speed get off but, I layed it over and a curb stopped me dead and sent it back the direction I came.Rearset broke and ripped most the skin off my calf muscle. Bike was totaled nary a good part on it. Only had my full Ti-Force on for about 2 months and the day I got home from the hospital I had a new map from orient express in my box.

Anyway glad your getting a new bike Chuck-Ride them both. As far as the Honda being a fat pig- a new exhaust will shed quite a few pounds. Plently of places to slim down-like wheels. Honda has the best swingarm of any street bike and they don't put junk shocks on like suzuki does. I would throw the electronic damper in the garbage though.


I am scared of the rims on the new gixxer they lightened them and you should of seen how many pices my back rim was in.
