I wasn't a big Stones fan until about 10 years ago. Though I liked them, it wasn't until I started to really listen to Keith. Then I realized how good he really is.

No doubt that Keef is a legend and will outlive cockroaches, but I'm yet to see a single time when playing "live" that he wasn't a half step to a step behind the other musicians. "Come on mate, we'll wait for ya!"

There were many more great rhythm players. Naming 5 doesn't seem fair. Then again, I don't want to waste the ink on my computer.

- Sammy was great with Montrose
- EVH had great chops, but I always scratch my
head [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] with his solos. They always seem like
to me they came in from left field even though the rest
of the team was playing basketball.
- Patrick Simmons (Doobies)
- many blues players who could throw in fills, in between the rhythm playing, SRV, Hendrix (how could I possibly forget him), Kenny Wayne.

I oughta try to do some work today, since thats where I am. My boss couldn't give a crap about rhythm players.

Comes with 'their' territory. They must have a special agreement with themselves to take time during songs for mini 1/2 to whole step breaks for things such as naps and geritol swigs, but when all's said and done they resolve on the same note...........maybe not at the same time.
