• It hate to say this, but...

My new main guitar isn't a Jackson. I'm using the Gibson SG mainly with m band. I apologize. I hope that you guys don't kick me from the board or ostracize me. I still have my Fusion and my Model 2 and I love them both, but the Gibson is my No. 1 right now.

You played something other than a Jackson!!! May you burn in the firey depths of hell as you become reincarnated as satan's jockstrap!!!

Seriously though, Jacksons are good for shredding and stuff, but they're not the only and absolute best guitars out there.

LOL, My only Jackson isn't even with me right now. It's in the shop having a little cosmetic work done. Besides, my main axe is my Lado, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

My Westbury Custom, Gibson LP and Lonestar Strat when I'm on stage, but my Mod 6 is what I use when I strut around the house learning new songs.

SGs are great guitars, nothing at all wrong with using that as your #1!

Re: It hate to say this, but...

Mt Fusion is the smoothest guitar I have ever played. It is decepitvely easy to play that thing. With the SG there's a bit more "fight" to it, which makes me play harder to get the same result. When I jam with the SG I sometimes break into a sweat, and it seems that I can play it "harder" than the Jackson. I am sure I'll use both in the studio, but when I get onstage I think the Jackson will be in a stand waiting patiently and the Gibson will be in my hands. Plus the Jackson was my first guitar, and it has a lot of sentimental value, so I don't want to take it where it can get hurt any more than I have to.

Re: It hate to say this, but...

Lately I've been playing mostly either my Fender Double Fat Strat or Les Paul Studio. I've only got two Jacksons at the moment... one USA (JJP) and one Japanese Professional string-thru (Dinky HX). The HX I'll never part with, but the JJP only has one pup and I prefer to have a neck pup as well, so that'll probably go soon. Though, it does play very nicely.

My main player is a Jackson Dinky at the moment. Love it to death, but once I have some extra cash, I'm totally getting a different guitar. I'm looking into getting either a Gibson Les Paul, SG, or a hardtail Fender. I love my Jackson, but I hate floyds, thin necks, and hockey stick headstocks.

When ever some says that thay "hate to say" something, the opposite is usually true.

My main player is not a Jackson either, its a toss up between an '83 Charvel pointy, '86 Charvel S-Head Mutt and a 2002 GMW!

I play my model 6 and my Fender strat plus way more than my SL1 so you are not alone on this I'll tell you what if it came between me getting rid of my Charvel or Jackson bye bye Jackson I just think the Charvel sounds better(same dimarzio in both) and I like the Kahler pro over the Floyd

I've been playing my PRS, Fender Ritchie Blackmore and Grosh lately. I love my 2 Jacksons but life is too short to not play a lot of great guitars.
