I'm playing an Electra set neck LP copy. I'd probably play something else, but there is a wee bit of a space problem when I got done 'cleaning' when I was told someones mother was coming over at the last minute. There's just enough room to open and close the door. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Sure, but it is a matter of preference and what demands you require from it. You're not going to get v-trem effects from a hardtail or a stop tail piece LP unless you have an outboard effect. There's alot of factors.. does it stay in tune well, single vs hum and their variations, # of frets.. etc.
