I've seen footage of Jack Bruce throwin' his noggin around in the Cream days. Man, he had a killer voice.

He still has. I picked up a live DVD from 2002 the other day, of Jack Bruce & the Cuicoland Express (featuring Vernon Reid & Bernie Worrell). Jack's voice is still in good shape

Re: where did head banging originate from?

Ive seen it on a few documentaries and said by different people on each that it was Status Quo. Malicious Steve is correct, well as far as believing documentaries on the histories on metal and rock goes.
Its like a British insitution so they put shows on about it every once in a while. Hey, it beats documentaries about sharks or Hitler

My first headbanging experience happened in 1972 when I was born... my mom dropped me on my head!!

In fact, Em was right.

For as long as there has been music and rituals and ceremonies there has been 'headbanging' avant la lettre.

Just look at secluded African or Latin-American tribes.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.
