Speaking of Wells. After the whole Mendoza thing I never wanted to see another former Yankee pitcher again. But I think Wells is going to fit in with that crew of guys. He's a f'in nut also

You know, you may be right on this one. I feel the same as you do when it comes to ex-yanks becoming red sox and vice versa. You have a problem with Mendoza. I have a problem with Gordon. I think deep down inside, the team they started on first is the team they're truly helping out. I don't think Mendoza performed as badly as Gordon though.

How about a trade......Mendoza and Wells for Gordon and Brown.

I never said he couldn't pitch in Fenway. He's always said he hates Fenway. Because it's old. So when he signed with the Sox it was a shock to me. lol I don't understand why he would want to pitch in a place he hates. Although he probably saw how the new owners made the whole area drinker friendly. lol The game and life doesn't end once you leave the gates of Fenway like it does at Yankee. The whole area is about Red Sox baseball. Bars, clubs and local restuarants. All have the Sox game on and are filled with tons of fans every game.

Do you watch any games dude? Mendoza didn't pitch enough games to do any good or bad. He was injured the bulk of his contract. And besides the Red Sox don't have him anymore. Can you believe they didn't re-up his contract this year? lol

Fast fact. Previous to last Season Jared Wright had won 37 games over 7 years. He should fair well moving from the tough NL East to the easy AL East.

wells makes me a bit nervous, and he himself has said that he hated pitching in fenway. so i guess we'll see how that goes. i do think that miller will turn out to be the deal of the off season; he's supposedly totally healthy and his shoulder is good. so we'll see.

i'm sad to see d-lowe gone, and that the office did nothing to even attempt to retain him. clement makes me nervous; hopefully mueller and bellhorn's shedding of the cub stench will rub off on him. i think we'll have a good season, but i'm not going to sit and speculate on repeating. hell, this past season has been more than i could've asked for. i have my NESN dvd for about a week now and have watched it 3 times.

by all means, rent 8 men out. great movie.

Hey Tetsuo
You guys still have a beer out there called Old Style, or something like that. Brings back good memories (or wiped out a couple of memories) when I was there in ChiTown during my Navy days. Never got to see a Cubs or WSox game. I specifically remember a pretty good beer and I thought it was called Old Style.

Fast fact number two on Jared Wright:

7.88 ERA in 7 starts 0 wins 3 losses vs. Boston

Fast fact number one on Carl Pavano:

In the 2003 season Carl Pavano was one of several pitchers that gave up 14 runs in the first inning to the Boston Red Sox without getting one out before he left the game.

My old man lives in AZ now and a huge Cub and Old Style fan and there is a Pizza place down there that imports it from Chitown and sells like hotcakes because of all the Midwest transplants out there

24.75 ERA 0 wins 2 losses .519 batting average against.

Anyone remember a Yankee pitcher by the the name of Jose Contreras? lol

while i'm sorry to hear your dad's a cub fan, that's very cool. there's a rosati's pizza down here, and it's just like it is in chicago; thin, greasy, super cheesy, and wonderful. they've also got vienna beef hotdogs and beef sandwiches, but they're nowhere near as good as portillo's.

man, i miss portillo's.

oh yeah, back to baseball. yankees suck!
