Re: I am Dying for it Lets Talk MLB

What is sad is if Maggs has a good year and Pudge is healthy their is such a lack of a dominant team in our division the Tigers could win it (Yeah those tigers)

Actually I just hope of a repeat of the Gay-Rod ball slap this year (man that sounds even worse than it should )

Sully said he saw a shirt on Ebay that said "A-Rod slaps balls". That's a classic. I'm sure they will be selling them by the tons outside Fenway this coming season. He's gonna love coming to the plate in Fenway with a good 30,000+ yelling "Slappy!!!!! Slappy!!!!!".

Come on, now I wouldn't say that without having anything to back me up.

Some of the reasons why I can't see Boston repeating are.....

1. There are 29 other teams in the league.
2. Damon discovers that a shot of leg is more important than baseball.
3. Schill gets mad when Wells becomes their #1 pitcher,..takes ball and goes home.
4. Ortiz gains another 50 lbs.
5. Millar and Mueller are still on the team.
6. Matt Clement drags the 'Wrigley Curse' with him. (someone else said that)
7. New coaches to included Stephen King. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
8. Varitek still can't handle Wakefield's brick.
9. Renteria morphs back into his old self.
10. Yanks won't let them.

Nice to see you were able to put those Rivera blown saves out of your mind. Just to refresh though, Mueller won the July 24th game with a walk off home run on a pitch the "Sandman" threw. And who hit that ball off Rivera in game 4 of the ALCS that laid Rivera out on the ground and tied the game that eventually lead to the Sox victory over the Yankees in the ALCS. Yes that would be Bill Mueller. Welcome back Bill, glad the Sox tendered you a contract first.

Plus Mueller could bring the Wrigley Curse just as much as Clement. I think they spent the same amount of Time in Wrigley maybe Bill was there one eyar only

Clement will be an issue for Bo Sox though. He was a #5 starter for the Cubs then became a loser with the NL's best ERA for a while. His hype is off of that. Granted The team couldn't help him one bit but he still got more hype than he deserved. Clement is overrated but still the staff is strong. I have no love for Wells as his worst season was in a Chi Sox uni... a worthless Pig he was

i actually have a soft spot for the white sox.
shoeless joe jackson is one of my favorite players of all time. they say if not for the ridiculously high and deep wall in right field he would have been in the home run leaders for sure.he blasted thousands of shots off that wall that would have been homeruns anywhere else, from what i have read at least. i love the movie "8 MEN OUT", it's a great flick if you have not seen it yet. i told sully to get it and he loved it too i think.

it's the best baseball movie that has been made so far.
did you know that TY COBB used to sit himself on the last weekend of the season to insure the batting title over shoeless joe? he beat shoeless joe a few times by doing this while 'ol joe still played and lost the batting titles by mere percentages of batting points. COBB was a fag.
