• A Very Sobering December

Hi everybody, I wanted to share my December with all of you. I also want to thank you for all the laughs when needed. I have not had to much time to be on the forum much lately due to. On Dec.6 appendicitis, ruptured and gangrenouse.Worst F***ing pain I have ever felt. That was a week in the hospital. I spent a week in misery at home recovering. My wife on Dec. 20 goes to her OB/GYN she was 24 weeks pregnant at the time. As I am lying on the couch still in pain I receive a call from her. The doctor said to pick you up I have to go straight to the hospital she is putting me on bed rest (She was not too happy with that). Dec. 24 I leave my wife at the hospital to bring our daughter to my parents for Christmas Eve dinner. Just as I am about to walk out the door...RING....RING. It is my mom. The hospital called your wife’s water broke ! SH*T!!! So I drop off my daughter, rush to the hospital, HIT a f***in hubcap off of a FORD LTD that was going 45 on the highway. Still can't figure out why it came off. So at the hospital, all of the doctors show up. Here are your options. A) Emergency C section (Baby is breech) less trauma for the fetus. B) Leave the baby in let natural birth continue. (Major trauma) wife’s fever going up BAD NEWS. OK Option A. Kind of a no brainier with the usual, there is a 50/50 chance Blah blah blah. I do want to say that all physicians involved were great. If not for them who knows what might have happened. So here we go surgery. I put on one of those generic suits you know the one size fits all except me white paper/plastic no ventilation. Yes that one. Actually it was the one time my wife and in-laws laughed. They said I looked like an Oompa Loompa. So I break into my rendition of Oompa Loompa Loompady do. Time for surgery. The epidural did not work. My wife said keep cutting with a local. She has a high tolerance for pain. Baby came out at 9:58 PM Christmas Eve. 1 pound 9 ounces. Baby boy . I call him Mini E . Everything is going in a positive way. He is doing great so far. So that’s my story. I try and stop into the JCF when I can but been kind of busy. I want to wish you all a happy New Year.

SOAB. We had our first last year as well and even when things go right, it was still kinda nerve-racking. I hope 2005 has some good stuff for you.
