Of course not Sully. That's the home of the World Champion Boston Red Sox. lol I'd be willing to bet the environment is probably the closest when it comes to outside the park activities though.

Todd I'm no fan of the flying metal death trap. So I'll be driving or taking the Iron Horse.

Oh and yeah June 9, 10 and 11. Sox/Cubs. You should take a trip back up to Chicago for a visit Sully. We could all go and increase the Sox fan base. Nomah vs. his former team also. That right there is sure to provide some damn good baseball.

Not sure if I should feel comfortable with that comment coming from a guy whose way deep into everything mob related. lol I'll definitely let you know. I'll need a list of the must eat places in the very least. Hell I may just drive out. The train is nice because your moving with beer and can't get in trouble though. That's a huge plus in my opinion.

LOFL!!!

The train is definitely a welcome way to travel. I take it at least twice a month when I go down to Bloomington to see Kristi. I'll take you out to Gibsons and we'll feast! Doc Tama and TMDiamond came out about a year ago and we ate there before a Dream Theater concert. Good food was had by all!

been thinking about it, actually. my aunt that lives in boston was gonna come out for the games, i believe.

the surrounding area isn't much like fenway, from what i've seen in pix of the fenway area. wrigleyville is certainly a great area for bars, etc, but the cub stuff doesn't spill out of wrigley like it seems to from fenway, ya know?

at least from my perspective; todd would know way better than i would. if you do make it out there, he's a hell of a host, for sure. but make sure that you go get a pizza puff at 2am at wrigleyville dog. perfect drunk food.

Amtrak might actually be cheaper. Plus, he doesn't seem to like to fly. (I'm not all that crazy about it myself)

Yeah, if I want to make it to NAMM with any time to look around and still have vacation time left over, flying is my only option too.

Re: I know the CTA** can get crowded....

I made it to Wisconsin in a days drive on my honeymoon from NY so I'm familar with the ride. Either way the wife also likes the idea. So tentatively speaking I'm there. Just gotta get tickets. Sully when are you bring your ass up to Boston then? You gotta check Fenway out. And Boston in general is the best city of all IMO. What was that sandwich shop you guys keep raving about also? I think Sully mentioned the best chili dogs or something like that. I liked the sounds of that place. I would probably be there for a few days also. To much food to little time.

oh dude. if you go to chicago, you gotta get portillo's.

problem is, that most (if not all) of their locations are out in the suburbs.

when i'm getting to boston is an excellent question; i was trying to get there the last weekend of sept, but i was unable to swing it. i want to get out there pretty badly, actually. just not until it's warm.

...which only gives me, what, a 3 week window?

I gotta get to Fenway, I been dying to go for a few years, I I am hoping that this summer I will get it done. I love Wrigley. I went a couple games last year, then cruised the bars. Started with the Cubby Bear, it was wet tshirt nite the first time or something, lotta boobies. Wrigley was stuffed with babes. great park.

I used to ride subways everyday when I used to work in Tokyo.
It was like that.
You will get used to it though.

2 at best. lol Yup Portillo's. That's the place you mentioned. I may have to drive then. Maybe we can get a group sales game together at Fenway for the JCF. Hey how about one of the luxury suites? I think they include food and drink.

Even though I'm not a cubs fan, I still love the area. You definitely see some interesting people and very little clothing on the women. And there are some absolutely great places to eat! Clark Street Dogs is a must. I, of course, always have to go to Uno's and get my New Orleans Iced Tea.
