Re: How Healthy are You People (seriously)

I reckon i'm an unhealthy 18 year old dick

I drink way too much Cola and other sugar drinks. I eat bad food alot of the time and i dont work out. Howver i don't smoke, or do drugs. I only drink now and then. I plan on joining the gym soon and to try and stop drinking cola and other drinks like it soon as possible. I once had to force myself to not drink Cola or fizzy drinks for 2 weeks. I felt more energetic and my consentration was better. Then i had one glass of Cola and was hooked on it again. New years resolution is to stop being a dick and become healthy again.

I'm pretty strong i guess. But would like to be alot stronger, so i could stand more of a winning chance in a fight

I'm way into removing toxins from my system. I plug into a Dialysis machine three times a week and it does a marvelous job.
I don't smoke or drink, and I walk a lot for excersize. I eat very healthy. I have no choice! If I don't eat well, I die. If I drink too much, I die. If I don't dialyize, I die.

Yeah, I'm properly motovated!

Tommy No smoke here. My Diet has been weak my whle life so I am a fat ass... I drink like a fish on and off that being said

I have been Vegan and been completely raw on a diet. I train and have trained to be a Body Builder (just couldn't get cut enough but I have naturally huge muscle bellies) I do not smoke but drink mucho Alcohol which is why I am fat. I used to smoke bout 2 packs a day though. Anyway I run and lift still but time makes it sparodic

As far as Detox that is one thing I take seriously... I detox naturally once a year I also drink very pure water about a gallon a day. I herbally detox throughout the week. My family has great youth and detox genes and they are all thin except for my fat ass. At least I got the first two. Wht did that fat Meatloaf guy say 2 outta 3 ain't bad?

Re: How Healthy are You People (seriously)

I workout 5-6 times a week (Cuz I have no life) 20 min cardio and two muscle groups. (about 1 hr)

I really try to watch what I eat but I have bad old habits so what I do is… I bitch at everyone for what they eat and in turn they hold me to my words! Works great! I use the excuse of being a single Dad to justify eating out once or twice in a while.
I drink about 3 quarts of water a day. THIS IS THE TICKET! DO THIS!

I hardly drink alcohol or pop...POP IS EVIL! I steer away from caffeine for the most part. (Damn Tim Horton’s)

I don't smoke weed or do any other controlled substances. (Since 18)

Supplements:
Cycle Creatine (with juice during workout)
Cycle L-Arginine
Protein: after workouts. (within ½ hour)
This has worked best for me without going nut with supplements.

I tried the detox and made it three days. I believe this works at getting the toxins out but as Em said you need to educate yourself and not go nuts with it. I'm too afraid to do it when I have to go to work...It's to do with the salt water flush!

I usually get lots of sleep 8-9 hrs.

If you want to discuss the finest proteins on the market... #1 Muscle Milk tastes good and amps yoour calories in a nice way. I am a natures Bst guy though with Isopure not as good but less calories and easier to drink.

Actually Dave you have more life not no life IMO I have dine 6 and 7's for a while but can never keep it up for more than a few months but it makes you feel great. I am more recently a cardio guy since I am an alltime high on weight (yes I know resting metabolism is just as important I still lift)

Re: How Healthy are You People (seriously)

I'm 36 and have gradually been trying to improve my health as of late. I don't indulge in foods that are excessively greasy or fatty, I gave up caffiene and only drink diet soda (again, no caffiene). I stopped smoking although I do have a few cigarettes a month. I was never into drugs; smoked a little dope years ago, but I'm done with anything along those lines. I do drink martinis or whisky on the rocks, but never more than one in an evening.

The neat thing was that I dropped 15 pounds in 6 weeks just by not eating like a pig. I only weigh 185 now, so the 15 pounds was a noticable difference. And with no caffiene, I am more relaxed.

I could do more, I suppose, but with no caffiene, better eating, only social drinking, and only the occasional cigarette, I sure feel and look better.

My doctor wants me to start an excercise program, but that is more for stress release than weight loss. I do plan to do this as well.

Hope that's helpful,

- E.

Re: How Healthy are You People (seriously)

Hmmm... this is very interesting Tommy. I read through the site and can't really comment, I think that there is some truth to what they say and it may very well be helpful.
This machine here strikes me as being similar to how acupuncture, massage and acupressure work to stimulate and heal the body.
But it is not going to make a world of difference if you do not make any lifestyle changes.
If you want to start out with a clean slate, a detoxification process is essential. During this time (a week to ten days is all that is really needed) it is important that your body is not bogged down with other tasks, which is why herbalists recommend that you take it easy and rest as much as possible during this time. Flushing your system is vital, but water alone will not do it because water will not replace lost nutrients.

Whatever you do, I wish you the best. And if you try this gadget out I would be very interested in hearing about your experience with it.

Take care,
Em

You certainly can be healthy. As healthy as you can possibly be at least.

Alcohol kills germs. I regularly detoxify my body by consuming large quantities of alcohol.

I started paying more attention to it as I got older...(I'm 36 now) quit smoking when I was 32 after 15 yrs or so...I drink water, tea and soy mostly...I eat pretty healthy, almost no junk at at anymore, I work out too. I also am a mountain biker. I noticed a couple years ago that I was really losing it: out of breath way to easy, lost a lot of muscle mass ( I was pretty ripped in my teens/tenties), getting a fair sized pot. Now I am definitely back in shape, maybe better than ever, and I feel really good. I don't feel obligated to do any of this, it's just that I enjoy it (biking, working out etc.) and since I got away from sugary/fatty/processed foods, I find I don't really like them now. I don't see anything wrong with alcohol, and drink without worrying about it. Smoking is fuckin' lame though now I realize, it just saps you slowly, and I hated being chained to it. Very glad to be free of it. I don't give a rats ass if any of this helps me live one minute longer, that is not the point. Its just that I want to feel healthy and strong right now, day in day out, whether I live 2 more years or 50.
