I'm going from cable to dsl so I'm stuck with aol 9.0 freebee untill the dsl stuff comes in and yes it sucks

unfirtunately it is my only option, as out here in the sticks,no cable is available. I typically connect at about 48K, which is archaic to most users, but it works ok for most general web surfing. Downloading stuff takes forever, and when people post enormous pics in here, they take a few minutes to load. I wouldn't say I hate it, but then again, I have nothing to compare it to. pardon my dangling preposition...

Dam I remember way back, about 95. I had a blazing 28.8 modem on my computer and it only took like 7 hours to download a 4 meg file. Had to carefull though, my computer had a whopping 850 meg hard drive. Why are switching from cable to DSL? I've had both and cable smokes dsl where I'm at.

I'll never go back to dial up.... They just upgraded my DSL 10x faster for free!!! I thought it was fast before.... but now..... holy sh!t!!!

I only use dial up when I have problem with my DSL connection.
Or when I visit different city and using my laptop at someone else's house or at hotel with no network.

I remember back in 95... I'd turn on my computer, and dial up and get 128k dual band ISDN... ah... digital has been in my life for quite a while... [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Im on dialup ans i hate it. Takes for ever to get a page open when surfin especaill with you gargantapicbandwithhogs that you are. But its said with love.. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
The only way i would miss dial up is if i didnt even have an internet connection at all. I so want cable but i cant afford it right now. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
