  • RIP - Dawn Marae Oliva

The widow of former Charvel/Jackson endorsee Criss Oliva was found dead in her apartment in Spring Hill, FL.

    From Jon Oliva's site:
    "Dawn Oliva
    Wednesday, January 12 2005

It is with an extrememly heavy heart that we at jonoliva.net announce the passing of Dawn Oliva on Tuesday, January 11, 2005. Dawn was found in her home yesterday afternoon by family members.

As most of you know, since Criss' passing Dawn has had a difficult time with his loss. May Dawn now finally be at peace and with Criss by her side once again.

    God bless you Dawn!"

Damn that sucks. Been listening to Hall of the Mountain King quite a bit lately. Criss was one of the best. Todd they don't say how she passed?

No they don't. I've been looking for it, but I'm thinking that "since Criss' passing Dawn has had a difficult time with his loss" is a clue.

Yeah I was kind of hoping what we are probably both thinking wasn't the case.

Yeah, but given Jon's demons, I think it might be.

I'm looking on the web for any news, the only thing that I found was a picture of someone named Dawn Oliva in a testimonial for a Toyota dealer.

God bless her and her family. They are finally back together again. The savatage site has some postings about it on the memorial wall for Criss:

Very sad news; sometime when two are so close and one dies, for the survivor the rest of his or her life is just hell on Earth. Some can pick up and go on, but some can't. My prayers are for her and the greater Oliva family and friends.

you're right lerx, sometimes the survivor dies not long after the first as well.this guy my old boss knew , it was his friend, he said when his wife died, the day after the funeral the guy literally lost the will to live. he said he did nothing after that. hardly got out of bed. he just stopped living almost immediately and although he had no health problems at the time, he was dead within a year.
just lost the will. i guess that means you really found the person you were supposed to be with. strange but very sad stuff.
